A mindful stabilizing practice starts this set: Realign the spine, explore scapular mobility and challenge your balance and stabilizing muscles in the first half of this sequence, and end with some stretches to open up the shoulders and back. The foam roller is an excellent way to increase extension in Pilates stretches like Mermaid and help you learn to fire your TA muscles.
